Currently, annual growth rate of total output value of magnetic materials keeps 5.5%, among which annual growth rate of soft magnetic materials is 3%, and annual growth rate of permanent magnet keep over 8%. From 1994 to now, output value of permanent magnet is more than that of soft magnetic materials. Due to rapid development of electric information and automobile industry, permanent magnet industry is developing sharply as well. Magnetic materials mainly composed of permanent magnetic materials now are one of the four functional materials.

So far, because the entry barrier is low, permanent magnetic materials industry are gradually becoming competitive industry. Price of magnetic materials keeps decreasing. In order to protect environment, non-petro driven cars are adopted, which accelerates bonded neodymium magnets’ development. High market demand creates super extending rate. Industrial leaders attach great importance to additional values of products and enterprises pay more attention to technology and cost control.

2014-2017 Market Survey Report of China Neodymium Permanent Magnet published by S&P Consulting indicates that in the future, output and production values of permanent magnetic materials will keep a high rise. Development and technology are still leading factors of the whole industry. Industrial structure will be partly adjusted in the future.
